The department of Biomedical engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College was established in the year 2006-2007. This year saw the commencement of the bio-elixirz association, which is tasting success in setting new benchmarks every other day. Our college a source of tremendous support has always assisted and aided us in all our ventures. It has encouraged and motivated our students irrespective of any differences, through allowances and scholarships. The college conducts various programmes that lead to the spiritual development of our students.

Our foresight is to evolve as a centre for excellence, through education, Innovation, research and entrepreneurship thereby delivering disciplined and dedicated professionals to the society. Our prime focus is to work as a catalyst in the budding field of biomedical engineering for the betterment of the health care industry in our nation.

Our department has various facilities, mentioning a few, we have a department library that houses all the old and current collection of different books and journals that cater to the various needs of our students pertaining to the field of biomedical engineering. Our laboratories are well equipped and well maintained providing a wholesome environment dedicated to their work. We have a product development center equipped with high end tools to enable students to come up with projects that have a social impact, hence alluring our students interests. Our department boasts of officious faculty who form our backbone.
